"Framtidens namn" (The names of the future / Future names)
– a sculpture proposal to Halmstad's 700 year anniversary.
Together with two other artists (Monika Larsen-Dennis and Fredrik Wretman), JS was invited in 2006 to compete for the commission of a public sculpture to celebrate the 700 year anniversary of the city of Halmstad. Between 25.11.2006 and 5.1.2007 an exhibition with the proposals was held at the Nya Stadsgalleriet, in Halmstad. The competition was decided by public vote. Registered citizens of Halmstad were able to vote. Fredrik Wretman won the commission. JS placed a close second.
