The show (which belonged to a concurrent exhibition project in Helsinki called Some Parts of This World) was commissioned along with the illustrations for
Olli Jalonen's book Yhdeksän pyramidia (Nine Pyramids) - it was a part of the Culture Capital program in Helsinki 2000. Book and exhibition were produced
during travels in 1999 to all nine European cities which had been chosen as Culture Capitals for the year 2000. This exhibition project - entitled Nine Cities - consists
of nine composite images, or image groups (of which two include only a single photo) - in each group photos from different cities are mixed together to form
"portraits" of new, virtual places... Catalogue text.
