In the beginning of the '80s Siouxsie & the Banshees were heroes. Then they lost it. Later, I listened a lot to New Order. I liked the way they were both pure and innovative. In 1987 New Order released Substance, a collection of singles in long versions. These remixed versions of their songs all surpassed the originals. To me, this was an important insight.
