— The "Ninth Chimney" is in construction, in Hamm, Westphalia, Germany, since June 2. See Project Image.

— On June 22 the book Bygga skorsten / Building Chimneys will be launched at the Wanas Foundation,
Knislinge, Sweden.This is the first major publication of J.S's "Chimney Project" and includes texts by:
Catharina Gabrielsson, Jörg Heiser, Jan Svenungsson (the Wanås chimney building diary), Marika Wachtmeister,
as well as extensive visual documentation. Published, in bi-lingual format, by Atlantis, Stockholm, www.atlantisbok.se

— An Artist's Text Book is circulating widely and has been sold to a number of universities and art academy libraries.

— participation (with "Psycho-Mapping Scandinavia") in "Bucharest Biennale" in Romania, May-June.

— participation in "Teleport Färgfabriken", in Färgfabriken North, Östersund, Sweden (from April 2).

— working on major series of large scale paintings, for later exhibition at Färgfabriken, Stockholm:
"Psycho-Mapping Europe version 2.0"

— major outdoor sculpture commission for a Cologne collector, using cast stainless steel and wood:
working title "Positionskugel / Position Sphere".
